Do Grandparent Have Rights? part 3

A grandma called the other day asking how she could go about seeing her 7 year old grandson after 3 1/2 years? I asked her why she waited so long and she said that she had originally gone to the court self-help center to file a petition and was told by staff that she didn’t have standing. So, instead of doing some research, she accepted the answer and did nothing. I don’t know how a judge will rule on her behalf since she has been out of the child’s life as long as she has been in it. Please don’t rush to accept as the gospel the first answer you get without checking more sources. Always go to the state government website and read the laws for yourself.
